Charity-Partner „PxP“ will present an impressive musical performance during the opening ceremony

The bett1open do not only serve as a great tennis tournament, but also as a platform to make the world a better place during these difficult times. This makes it all the more fitting that we have decided to support the Berlin Charity “PxP Embassy” this year. This organization has made it their mission to provide children from precarious life situations with better opportunities.

This is the exact approach of the two PxP-founders Fetsum Sebhat and Teddy Tewelde. The two cultural entrepreneurs came to Germany as child refugees. Here they were given the opportunities to lead a self-determined life. Grateful for this chance, they founded "PxP" (stands for "Peace by Peace") in 2015. Their "PxP FESTIVAL" became Europe's largest benefit concert for children and raised over one million euros in donations. Fetsum Sebhat und Teddy Tewelde received several awards for their commitment, including the ECHO and the Order of Merit of the State of Berlin.

Together with “PxP ONE VOICES” and a group of 50 Students, PxP will present the song “This World Needs Love” on the center court during the opening day. “We are excited, that the bett1open support us in providing workshop for as many Berlin kids as possible”, says Fetsum Sebhat. The donations collected at the bett1open will be invested in "Future Skills Workshops" during the school holidays. The goal is to provide free access to the workshops for up to 1000 children. These skills include creativity, collaboration (exchanging ideas with others), media and technology.
