ecotrans Group new presenting partner of the bett1open
The bett1open 2023 will become the bett1open, presented by ecotrans Group. The logistics company from Schönwalde-Glien in Brandenburg is now a presenting sponsor and one of the most important partners of the emotion Group, the organizer of the bett1open. In 2009 Bartosz Wojsznis founded the company with just two vehicles. Since then, the ecotrans Group has a fleet of over 500 vehicles that operates all over Europe. "I love tennis - and I'm very happy to now be able to support tennis even more," Wojsznis said on Wednesday evening when announcing the partnership at the VIVA Yoga Studio in Berlin Charlottenburg. And he also revealed how easy it was for the cooperation to come about: "The chemistry was right from the start."
The bett1open will take place from June 17th to 25th and is endowed with 850,000 US dollars. The world's greatest players will compete on the grass at the Steffi Graf Stadium of the LTTC "Rot-Weiß" e. V. in Grunewald, Berlin. Defending champion Ons Jabeur, reigning world champion Caroline Garcia, Olympic gold medalist Belinda Bencic and two-time Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova have confirmed their participation, as have U.S. superstar Coco Gauff and local hero Sabine Lisicki.
Barbara Rittner, national head coach at the DTB and tournament director of the bett1open, is excited about this top lineup. But she was also pleased that Wojszins revealed that he also has two tennis-loving daughters: "Feel free to bring them along sometime. We can always use good tennis offspring." Wojsznis' passion for tennis began when he picked up balls at his father's matches as a child. Now his company will ensure that the materials needed for tournaments are being delivered. "Reliable logistics performance is key for us. Nothing works without it," says Edwin Weindorfer, CEO of the emotion Group. Thus, the ecotrans Group will also ensure that the materials for the ATP tournament on Mallorca, the Mallorca Championships, are being delivered.
Reliable delivery is guaranteed, but are there also reliable predictions for the winners of the bett1open 2023? Not even a proven experts like Heinz Günthardt would dare to make those. The draw of female participants is simply too strong for that. Günthardt was a world-class player and for many years coach of tennis legend Steffi Graf. He is enthusiastic about the level of women's tennis: "In the past, the level of competition was nowhere near as high as it is today. Now practically all the players come to the tournament with the thoughts of wanting to win it and also being able to do so." He is naturally keeping his fingers crossed for his Swiss counterpart Belinda Bencic, who most recently lost twice in a row in the final at the bett1open.
It goes without saying that Sabine Lisicki is also dreaming of victories on the Berlin grass. The 2013 Wimbledon finalist is currently working doggedly to fight her way back into the extended world elite and is well on her way. She says: "I'm really happy to be able to play in my hometown at my home club."
Lisicki shares this anticipation of world-class tennis in Berlin with many fans. The demand for tickets for this spectacular week of tennis in the heart of Berlin is correspondingly strong.
