Coco Gauff got off to a good start in her round of 16 match against Ekaterina Alexandrova, leading 3:1, but the US player still lost 4:6 and even 0:6. "I made far too many unnecessary mistakes," Gauff was self-critical afterwards, although she took some comfort in the fact that her start to the grass-court season was also bumpy last year.
